Plaster Repair Services
Over time, plaster can develop cracks, become blown (detached from the wall), suffer damp damage, or become damaged through general wear and tear. Rather than replastering an entire room, many of these issues can be resolved with targeted plaster repairs – saving you time and money while restoring your walls and ceilings to perfect condition.
At JKB Plastering, we carry out all types of plaster repair work across Fleet, Hampshire and the surrounding areas. From a small crack above a doorway to a large section of water-damaged ceiling, we have the experience to repair it cleanly and seamlessly.
Common Plaster Repairs We Carry Out
- Crack Repairs – Hairline cracks, settlement cracks, and larger structural cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Blown Plaster – Where plaster has detached from the wall underneath and sounds hollow when tapped. We remove the loose sections and replaster.
- Damp Damage – Water ingress from leaking pipes, roof leaks, or rising damp can cause plaster to bubble, flake, or crumble. Once the source of damp has been resolved, we repair or replace the damaged plaster.
- Holes & Impact Damage – Holes from removed fittings, shelving, radiator pipes, or accidental damage.
- Ceiling Repairs – Sagging, cracking, or damaged ceilings, including old lath and plaster ceilings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you repair a small area without replastering the whole wall?
Yes. In most cases we can patch and blend a repair into the surrounding plaster so that the join is invisible once painted. This is much quicker and more cost-effective than replastering the entire wall.
My ceiling is cracking. Does it need replacing?
Not necessarily. Many ceiling cracks can be repaired without replacing the whole ceiling. We will assess the condition and advise you honestly on whether a repair or a full reboard is the best option.
